What is Holy Fire® Reiki?

Holy Fire® Reiki is an evolutionary form of Usui Reiki which was introduced by William Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). It remains in line with the traditional Usui Reiki teachings. The use of the word holy in the name Holy Fire® is not intended to have a religious meaning. The word holy has at its roots meaning "to be whole and complete" and this is how it is used in Holy Fire® Reiki. Therefore, we could described Holy Fire® Reiki as a spiritual energy that creates wholeness through purification, healing, empowerment, and guidance and it comes from a higher level of consciousnes.

One of the main differences between Usui Reiki and Holy Fire® Reiki is the way the "attunement" is performed. In the Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki classes, the attunements have been replaced by "Placements, Ignitions and Experiences". During the Placements, Ignitions and Experiences, there is no physical interaction between the teacher and the student. The teacher simply sit in a chair and facilitates a short experience to place the student into a receptive state and then lets the Holy Fire® energy take over. This method has proven many times over that, the less the teacher is involved, the more powerful and effective the experience becomes. Some of my students have had deeply moving and healing experiences during Placements, Ignitions, and Experiences.
Also, since the Master Teacher does not have to physically interact with the students in order to perform these attunements, and by using the Distant symbol, it now enables Reiki Masters to teach Holy Fire® Reiki online. Holy Fire® is included as part of the Usui Reiki classes and has also been added to Karuna Reiki® training.

Once received, it continues to develop itself to be more evolved and effective.

The benefits of the Holy Fire® Reiki will be felt in Level I and Level II classes and will be more pronounced in the Master classes.
